Cream Puff


For Puff

Ingredients:-

Water 140 cc
Unsalted butter 70 gm
Salt 1 gm (a pinch)
Flour 80 gm
Eggs 4 (m size)



Method:-

1. Mix water, butter and salt in a pan. Boil under medium flame.
2. When mixture starts to boil, turn off fire. Add in flour and stir quickly.
3. Beat egg one at a time into the mixture and whisk quickly.
4. Put mixture in piping bag and pipe into puff shape onto tray.
5. Bake in a preheated oven 200 C for 15 minutes or till golden brown.

For Custard:-

Ingredients

Milk 500 ml
Sugar 100 gm
Egg yolk 4
Flour 40 gm
Butter 20 gm
Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon
Fresh cream 100 gm
Sugar 10 gm

Method:-

1. Mix milk with 50 gm sugar.
2. Beat egg yolk with 50 gm sugar.
3. Stir in flour into the beaten egg.
4. Warm milk until sugar dissolved and add the egg yolk mixture. Mix well, sieve into a pot and stir under medium flame until thickens.
5. Remove from pan, cover and let cool.
6. In another bowl, beat fresh cream and sugar till soft peaks form.
7. Add the custard mixture and mix well.
8. Cut the puff and fill it up with custard and dust powder sugar on top. If you like, add some cut strawberries.
