Traditional Scones



Ingredients:-

170 gm flour
55 gm butter
2 tablespoon caster sugar
3 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
110 ml milk

Method:-

1. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
2. Cut in the butter and rub in until the mixture becomes coarse crumbs.
3. Pour in the milk bit by bit and mix to form a dough.
4. Roll out the dough about 1/2 cm thick and cut the dough using round cutter.
5. Place on baking sheet and bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown in a preheated oven 375F.
6. Serve warm with butter and jam.

Note: if you like some raisins, add some to the coarse crumbs.
