Green Tea Roll Cake
Ingredients:-
For Sponge Cake
3 eggs
70 gm sugar
30 gm flour
10 gm green tea powder
25 gm butter (melted)
For cream
200 ml heavy cream
20 gm sugar
40 gm sweet bean (i use from the can)
For syrup
50 ml water
25 gm sugar
few drops of orange essence
Method:-
For Syrup
1. Mix water and sugar and bring to boil. Add the orange essence and leave to cool.
For Cake
1. Sieve flour and green tea together, sieve twice.
2. Beat egg whites until soft peak forms and add sugar a little at a time and continue to beat until stiff.
3. Add egg yolk in the egg white mixture and mix.
4. Fold in the flour and add in the melted butter and mix well.
5. Line pan with greaseproof paper and bake in a preheated oven 375F for 8-10 minutes.
6. Remove cake from oven and let it cool.
For Cream
1. Add sugar in the heavy cream and beat to make whipping cream.
Making the roll cake
1. Brush the syrup on the sponge cake.
2. Spread cream and sprinkle sweet bean.
3. Roll them and keep in a refrigerator for a while.
4. Cut and serve.
